Hull FC boss Lee Radford says his side are chomping at the bit to get back on the field ahead of the 2019 season. The Black & Whites travel across the city to face arch rivals Hull KR in their Super League opener on February 1 but have a run of warm-up matches before.
Partner club Doncaster are first up before further games against Wakefield and St Helens.
Radford believes getting back on the field will do the world of good for his squad, starting with their trip to the Keepmoat.
Speaking to hullfc.com, Radford said: “For a lot of the squad, they’re only seven days of training away from playing their first game. They need to make sure they get the most out of these next few games. “From day one, there has been a real determination in how the players have approached pre-season. I’m looking forward to some of them getting a run out against Doncaster – a few of them will be chomping at the bit by then to get an opportunity.”Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
