Rangers Dare Wounded Pillars, 3SC Welcome Sharks

–Wikki Set To Maintain Top Spot

By Adeboye Amosu:

Glo Premier League leaders, Wikki Tourists, will hope to make home advantage count when they host Giwa FC in a week 15 fixture on Wednesday as champions Kano Pillars visit in-form Enugu Rangers.

The league new entrants have so far surpassed expectations on their return to the top flight and a win in this tie will see them hold on to top position irrespective of results from other centres.

Giwa FC who themselves  have enjoyed a good start to the campaign will  definetely prove a tough nut to crack for their hosts having weathered some difficult storms this season.

Red-hot Rangers who are on a three-match winning streak will host champions Kano Pillars at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium.

A win for the Flying Antelopes will further boost the chances of interim handler of the side, Imama Amakapabo, of getting the job on full-time basis.

Pillars on the other hand cannot afford further slip-up in their title defence, after picking a solitary point from their last two games, including a home draw to Dolphins.

Shooting Stars Sports Club have another chance to continue their resurgence under Gbenga Ogunbote when struggling Sharks of Port Harcourt storm Ibadan for their match day 15 tie.

Six-time champions  Enyimba are on the road to Kwara United in Ilorin. Another negative result could mark the end of Tunde Abdulrahman as handler of the home side following the Harmony Boys' indifferent form in recent weeks.

Heartland who are enjoying a new lease of life since the suspension of their former gaffer, Erasmus Onuh, have a date to keep against Oriental neighbours, FC IfeanyiUbah at their makeshift ground in Port Harcourt.

Second placed Sunshine Stars will hope to bounce back from last weekend's defeat to Rangers when  they file out  at the Akure Township Stadium against Akwa United.

El-Kanemi host Dolphins at the Karkanda Stadium, Katsina desperate to put an end to a poor run which has seen them concede seven goals and score two goals in their last games.

Warri Wolves and Lobi Stars will slug it out at the Warri City Stadium, while Abia Warriors and Bayelsa United lock horns in Aba.

Nasarawa United and Taraba United, two teams who have adopted the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi  as  their home ground will clash at the venue in an all-northern affair.
