Rangers coach, Imama Amapakabo, is optimistic that the club can secure a place on the continent this season.
The Flying Antelopes have witnessed a remarkable turnaround in form since the erstwhile Enyimba gaffer took over from Kelechi Emeteole.
The Coal City side have lost only once in seven matches and are also reached the round of 16 of the Federation Cup.
Only four points seperates the former league champions and Oriental rivals, Enyimba who sit in the third position, a spot which guarantees a place in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Despite the enormity of the task before his side, Imama is confident they can at least secure a berth in Africa.
“I’m happy with our form at the moment and I believe we can make it a successful season,” he told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“I strongly believe we can pick a continental ticket at the end of the season.
“We know it’s going to be tough, but it is achievable.
“What is important is for us to keep getting positive results.”
