Ranieri Dreams EPL Title, Expects Tough Swansea Battle

Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri has stated that the aim of his team now is to win the English Premier League title after qualifying for the Champions League.

The Foxes are still top of the league, five points ahead of second place Tottenham Hotspur.

Speaking ahead of Sunday’s clash against Swansea in his pre-match press conference, Ranieri described his team’s qualification for the Champions League as a wonderful experience.

“We are in the Champions League man! Dilly ding, dilly dong!” Ranieri said rather excitedly on Friday.

“We are in the Champions League. It’s fantastic. Well done to everybody – fans, staff and players.

“It’s unbelievable. Now we try to win the Premier League title.”

The former Chelsea boss admmitted that the game against Swansea will be a tough one for his side but that they will give it their all.

“When you want to win the title it’s important to win. Swansea is a difficult match. It will be a battle,” Ranieri added.

“Swansea close very well, but we want to win the Premier League so we will have to fight.

“On Sunday everyone will give a little more to each other to try to win the match.”

On the absence of Jamie Vardy, Ranieri said they will have to approach the game differently.

He also hinted on the possibility of Leonardo Ulloa featuring against Swansea.

“We will have to change something. Without Jamie Vardy we will make another strategy, but we will see on Sunday.

“Leo Ulloa deserves to play but there is a team and I think about what is best for the team.”
