Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri is impressed with the debut performance of Nigerian midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, noting that the the new signing from Genk has adjusted to the combative nature of the English Premier League reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Ndidi made his EPL bow for the Foxes in last Saturday's 3-0 loss at home to Chelsea, and Ranieri who splashed £15m for the services of the Nigerian international praised the player who starred in both defensive and midfield role for Leicester in the defeat.
"He’s an athlete, he played well and his debut here was good at King Power Stadium,
"I’m very pleased with his performance, but I’m pleased with all of the players," Ranieri told the club's official website.
"At the beginning, he was chosen as a central midfielder and after we changed his position. For this reason, I changed and put him in the middle [of the defence] after."
Ranieri also urged his side to put behind them their shambolic display against the current league leaders and turn their focus to Sunday’s Premier League match against Southampton at the Saint Marys Stadium.
