Ranieri Warns Man United: Community Shield Is No Friendly

Leicester City manager, Claudio Ranieri, has stated that his team will go into Sunday's Community Shield against Manchester United at Wembley stadium with the intention of winning.

The Foxes shocked everyone by claiming their first ever English Premier League title last season.

United defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 in last season's FA Cup final at Wembley.

In last season's clash, Chelsea, under Jose Mourinho, lost 1-0 to Arsenal.

Speaking ahead of the game in his press conference on Friday, Ranieri said he expects a feisty encounter.

"The players recovered very well. Everybody is okay. Today Jamie Vardy trained very well and I'm very pleased," Ranieri said.

"This is not a friendly. We will give the maximum and also Manchester United will too. Both teams want to win.

"I expect a very strong Manchester United team and very well organised.

"All managers and players want to play at Wembley Stadium. It's one of the most famous stadiums in the world.

The Italian tactician said he is looking forward to a difficult season ahead.

"I forgot what happened last season. Now my focus is on the new season. We are ambitious but know it will be very hard.

"We've lot of respect for everybody, but we want to beat everybody. We try our best every match. We give our maximum."
