–Spanish side side pay tribute to fallen Ex-Eagles star
Fans of Spanish La Liga side, Rayo Vallecano have paid tribute to their ex-goalkeeper, Wilfred Agbonavbare, who died of cancer this week.
The Madrid based club also dedicated a minute’s silence in memory of the ex-keeper before the Deportivo game.
The silence was then broken with the chanting of “Willy, Willy!” from the stands.
Finally, the players ran out onto the centre of the pitch with a large banner with the message ‘Rest in peace, Willy’.
The club also reportedly named one of their gates after the former BCC Lions goalkeeper.
Agbonavbare helped Vallecano to promotion twice while with them. He also represented Nigeria at the Nations Cup and FIFA World Cup, both in 1994.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
