Medics of French Ligue 2 side RC Lens are working round the clock to ensure trialist Haruna Lukman recovers from the injury he sustained in the pre-season game against Avranches.
In an exclusive telephone chat with Completesportsnigeria.com, a top family member revealed that RC Lens opted to ensure that Haruna regains full fitness before making a decision whether to offer him a contract or not.
"Lukman is still with Lens. The club said he would undergo full treatment because he got injured playing for them during one of their pre-season games," he said.
Haruna had somehow disappeared from the radar until he turned up at Lens' pre-season trials with the hope of tying down a deal at La Gaillete.
Before his injury, Haruna scored the winner in Lens' 2-1 win over Avranches having found the net in a previous friendly against Quevilly Rouen.
The former Dynamo Kyiv midfieler who featured in Monaco's 2010 Coupe de France final match has been without a club since ending his loan spell at FC Astana of Kazakhtan late 2016.
