English Championship sides Reading and Blackburn Rovers are showing interest in Super Eagles defender Efe Ambrose.
According to express.co.uk, Reading boss Jaap Stam is keen to do business if he can agree a cut-price deal with Celtic for Ambrose.
It is claimed Blackburn Rovers could also enter the fray if Shane Duffy completes a switch to Brighton.
Former Manchester United centre-back Stam sees Ambrose playing further forward as a holding midfielder rather than at the back.
Ambrose, 27, who still has a year left on his Celtic contract, has been axed by Brendan Rodgers after high-profile blunders against Lincoln Red Imps and Barcelona.
Other Celtic fringe players such as Emilio Izaguirre could also be moved on before the close of the transfer window.
