By Adeboye Amosu: AS Real de Bamako Nigerian-born midfielder Temitope Folarin hopes he will get the chance to represent his country of birth after impressing in both legs of his club’s CAF Champions League fixtures against MFM FC, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Folarin proved his class once again after impressing for Real Bamako in the CAF Champions League against Rivers United last year even though his side went down to a 1-0 defeat against their hosts.
He was the cynosure of all eyes at the Agege Stadium on Wednesday as he dictated the pace for his team in the midfield.
Folarin stated that he is keen to wear the green and white colour of Nigeria in future.
“My biggest dream now is to play for the Super Eagles and secure a move to Europe,” Folarin told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“I played against Rivers United in the CAF Champions League and people didn’t notice me much but it’s a different scenario for me now.
“A lot of people have commended me for my performance against MFM and I hope to keep working hard to move my game to another level.
“Hopefully I will get a chance to play in Europe soon and put myself in the minds of the Super Eagles technical crew.”
