Sergio Ramos and Sergio Reguilon have both played down an incident during a Real Madrid training session on Monday afternoon.
Video footage has emerged that showed the 32-year-old Spain captain kick a ball towards the youngster after a collision when the squad were playing handball.
Reports of a ‘bust-up’ followed but Ramos took to Twitter to make it clear that, although wrong, his actions are not unusual throughout football.
“Although it does not seem like it, these situations are quite common,” he tweeted.
“This is not an excuse, because my reaction should not have been this. We always go to the maximum, isn’t that right Regui? In the end we are a team who win together.”
Reguilon, who has yet to make his La Liga debut but has been on the bench three times this season, also made light of the spat, tweeting: “I always support my team and my captain, we go for the victory tomorrow.”
Real face Czech side Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League on Tuesday looking to arrest a poor run of form that has heaped pressure on coach Julen Lopetegui.
