The coach Nigeria Professional Football League young side, Remo Stars, Fatai Osho has assured their teeming fans that the club will not be relegated at the end of the current season despite being strapped at the bottom rung of the league table, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The young tactician spoke to Completesportsnigeria.com after their 1-0 defeat by hosts, Rivers United in a rescheduled matchday 14 match on Wednesday at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt.
Osho, a former Osun United gaffer insisted that Remo Stars play one of the best brand of football in the league as demonstrated in the game against the Pride of Rivers, but lacked bite and precision at the concluding stage.
"We'll get it right. We play well no doubt about that but it does not mean the goals won't come," the young gaffer told Completesportsnigeria.com confidently.
"When I came in, I decided to improve the team and I believe everything will come good.
"Yes, our supporters are getting nervy because we're on the base of the league table at the moment.
"But I want to say the league is like a marathon race, not like a 100m dash.
"We still have a whole lot of 19 games coming in front of us, and hopefully, we will swim ashore, no doubt about that."
The team's impressive defender, Awoyemi Abiodun, corroborated his coach's optimism, stressing that the players are working hard to ensure the club is not relegated.
"We players of Remo Stars are not happy over our position on the league table," he remarked.
"We are determined and committed towards giving our utmost best to ensure that we are not relegated."
