Winger Franck Ribery is still hungry for success but admits that this might be his last season in a Bayern Munich shirt. The former France international is now 35 and at an age when many players are either hanging up their boots or looking for one final pay-day in a less challenging league.
That could have happened to Ribery during the summer as the former Marseille man admitted that he had been targeted but chose to stay at the Allianz Arsene to try and win more silverware.
“There were serious offers from China, but I like the Bundesliga and the Champions League. I dream of winning it for the second time,” he told ESPN. “I am still ambitious, I am still driven.”
It remains to be seen what route Ribery takes next summer but it does appear as though his playing days are not done just yet.
“I have never said to myself this will be the last year,” he added. “I have won everything, I can relax now. I always give it my all because it could be my last year.”
