Nigeria's powerlifter, Tolulope Taiwo, missed out on a podium finish as he came fifth in the men's -80kg Group A, at the Rio 2016 Paralympics.

Weighing 78.27, Taiwo lifted 200kg which unfortunately was not enough to earn him a medal.

The gold medal went to Majid Farzin from Iran who did 240 kg.

China's Xiaofei Gu claimed the silver medal after lifting 228kg, while Akhror Bozorov from Uzbekistan took the bronze medal with a lift of 207 kg.
