Tunda , for me i am voting on Francis to be the number one goal keeper .Remener that ezewan was been exposed in WAFU tournament final with 4-1 by Ghanaian strikers in present at Ghana .
ajiboye was xposed with 4-0 at Chan final by morocco strikers
Have in mind that all our world cup foes know very much that we have goal keeper problems ,because i believe as we ready their sport websites so they read ours .
For me i still have trust in Eayema .
World class goal keepers are sometimes out classed. Take for instance, our friendly game with Argentina many football lovers ruled off super eagles. Some said they’ll not want to watch the number of goals we’ll conceive in the match finally what happened? Would you say the Argentina keeper I see not good? Let always remember is a game. And we should learn to encourage what we have.
That’s great. But two wrong cant be good. If Eyeama can make millions of Nigerians happy by doing the goal keeping job, let’s allow him because if goal is scored against us that could have been stopped by someone else, everyone will be sad. I believe what we want is who can do it. So, let allow Vincent if he can.
Yes, there’s a goalkeeper problem, and Nigeria will not find an international class goalkeeper in the next 3 months. What and who will emerge we will know after the 5 coming warm-up games in which 6 changes are allowed. There are interesting comparisons: the youngest of the goalkeepers is the tallest, and possibly the best coached, being in a Spanish club. Permit me to say that height is a necessity for goalkeepers to deal with aerial crosses. No world-class goalie has been as short as Ezenwa. Besides, Ezenwa allows himself to be easily distracted, creates drama by feigning injury, and always likely to manufacture a penalty by charging opponents. Akpeyi could be the best of the lot, but a bag of nerves. As Mumuni says, the goalkeeper trainer will definitely come up with a recommendation to Rohr, and it’s good luck to the Super Eagles
From time on set, we’ve never appreciated what God has blessed us with in this nation. Vincent Enyeama is good but not for this World Cup. In as much he was unable to forgive the wrong that was wronged him if really any, whereby, many prominent Nigerians pleaded unbehalf of NFF and he said no. Let the local goal keeper who led us to the qualification be used in the World Cup. Ezenwa is good but should be trained to stop the feigning of unnecessary injury he’s fund of dramatizing. The local keepers can not cook food for Enyeama to eat. Now Enyeama is hungry to go for World Cup so that, he will shine. Paradventure, his inclusion might set us back because the keepers that did the job emotions won’t be in fine fettle.
They should try all available goal keepers in each of the friendlies and chose the best. Dele Alampasu, Francis Izoho, Ajiboye and Ezenwa at Grade A friendlies coming up. Alampasu has not been given any chance to keep in any competitive match for the eagles. Let us see all of them and I believe they will be able to chose a number 1 from there. I believe we can forget about Enyeama and move on, though he has been tried and tested in the past and has experience. I believe we will get the best out of the ones we have.
Where is Austin Ejide. He should be recalled if still fit and playing. He’s been deputizing for Enyeama for long and should bring the necessary experience
I dont find any problem with that thank God we re having 5 friendly matches it enable rohr to select the best one out of the keepers, but for now i will stick to uzoho ahead of ezemwa
Francis uzoho,Ezenwa,Ajiboye. Shikenah!
u cant conclude on uzoho base on 45 mins performance, let him get more games so we see how good he is…
Ezenwa is a nervy character. Coaches prefer goalkeepers that are always calm in front of goal. Another issue with him is his ball handling skills. Ezenwa also had issues dealing with aerial balls during the qualification games. Akpeyi is another nervy character that atimes appears confused in goal. I will be shocked if Akpeyi makes the world cup list. In my opinion, Francis is the closest thing to Enyeama and Rufai in terms of goalkeeping qualities; he’s calm and confident in goal, he directs his defensive line, he’s huge (size), and he has the best handle of all prospects. The only problem is the small sample size (only 45 mins against Argentina in a friendly) to evaluate him. Although, he was very impressive, it’s a very small sample size to appoint him the man going to Russia. I hope Rohr has a good prescription for migraine.
Small sample size….lollllz….that one weak me o…
WHAT DO MEAN BY SMALL SAMPLE SIZE . IF CHELSE GOAL KEEPER CAN PERFORM BETTER AT HIS AGE . THEN I BELIEVE FRANCIS IZOHO CAN DO BETTER. IT BETWEEN IZOHO AND AKPEYI .
On topic i tink Mr. Rohr shud jst narrow his nerves down 2d goalkeepers he already kws (akpeyi, ezenwa, uzoho, ajiboye & alampasu) bt unfortunately only akpeyi plays top flight games based on wat we have. For me am ok wt d first 3 mentioned abv d only issue is who gets 2b d number 1 wch is where i’l advice d coach 2jst judge d goalies based on what dey ar gvin him on ground (trainings n friendly games) den mor importantly hw dey responds on games, der soundness, alertness and oda tactical qualities required from a goalkeeper.
With good defensive cover any if the five keepers is ok for in most games goalkeepers are good as the defence. Without good defence any keeper fumbles.
Believe it. Akpeyi has made mistakes but I see good keeper in him. The problem is that he is nervous. He needs more chances and confidence. Check his performance in South Africa. He thinks bc of his mistakes, s. E has not confidence in him. Where is Austin ejide? Uzohu should be given more trials
To me, Uzoho is the most capable out of them all. His calmness within the goalpost is unlike others.
And he distributes the ball very well even from odd angles.
Uzoho wins my vote.
Everybody is saying uzoho, he only played for 45 minutes and we all are saying much about him. This man was the second keeper behind Alapansu in the under 17 world cup, he might have improved buh he is still not a finished product, I think we still need to Evalute him with friendly matches to see how good he is
Uzoho is the best…just 45mins on goalpost, his qualities was shown. Such magnititude of the game of Argentina…he was cool and calm. His reflexes was superb. Ezenwa and alampasu could be use as sustitude
yes with good defence it help the goalkeeper to be the best but we should not for get Vicente eyama and the white goalkeeper that went for injury cos we are talking about world cup not friendly match
We Know That We Have Had A Goalkeeper Who Can Keep For Eagle And Luckly Bring Good Reputation, Promotion To the Team. Let’s Believe That Vincent Enyeama Will Still Remain Our Goalkeeper Seconded By Uzoho And Alampazu For The Upcoming “World Cup Tournament” World Cup Is Never “Nation’s Cup Or Friendlies ” It Has To Do With Pass-experiences And Influence In That Same Field. Our Coach Should Redo Something About It.
Vincent enyeama and Karl ikeme should be his deputy and choose either ozoho or ezenwa as the third for world cup
Enyeama has not played dis season,so I doubt his form, uzoho is d preferred choice.those saying he only played 45mins and he does not have experience,I will like to ask hw did enyeama get his breakthrough at the 2002 world cup,did he have experience then.
Francis izoho is the best among all, Our defence needed to be work on.
