Hull KR’s Danny McGuire has indicated the 2019 Super League campaign will be his last season before retirement. McGuire began his career with Leeds Rhinos, winning the Super League Grand Final eight times, three World Club Challenge titles and the Challenge Cup twice during his time there in 16 years with his hometown club.

The stand-off, who will turn 36 before the new campaign gets underway, joined Hull KR prior to the 2018 season and managed five tries in 20 appearances as they avoided relegation in The Qualifiers.
The former Great Britain and England international has appeared to confirm on his official Twitter account that next season will be his final year as a professional.
He tweeted: “18th and last pre-season starts again tomorrow.
