Cameroonian legend, Roger Milla, insists Nigeria can win a first African Nations Championship in Rwanda, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Milla, who earned rave reviews for his impressive showing for the indomitable Lions at the 1990 World Cup in Italy, was at the Kigali Regional Stadium on Monday to watch the Group C fixture between Nigeria and Niger.
The former striker who was highly impressed with the performance of the Eagles in the game told completesportsnigeria.com that Sunday Oliseh's charges are good enough to win the competition.
"The Nigeria team is good. They have really good players and have a good chance of winning the title," Milla told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"They were fantastic in the second half and I love the build-up to their goals.
"If they can work on some of their mistakes, like starting the game slowly, then I see them winning the competition."
The Eagles sit at the top of Group C with three points, with Guinea and Tunisia have one point each. Niger are occupying last position with no point.
Action will resume in the group on Friday with Nigeria taking on Tunisia, while Niger and Guinea will also do battle.
