He lacks composure, command, confidence, yeah he is a goalie,he needs those qualities mentioned to be a great goal keeper, and if the goal keeper coaches are reading this, look into yourselves well, even if we win, this man doesn’t have it,Ezenwa i think should grab this,or that guy Daniel who kept in the Olympics should at least be here to get his future position,he got all what Eyeama,Carl items got. Let’s take this goal keeping position seriously,we need a full team.

  • Look into the league very well and get a replace for this guy

  • Is Nigeria so short of talent that we can not comb Europe and get a tested goal custodian who would give us a value for our time spend at the Stadium. Recycling the the error pronned Daniel Akpeyi A.K.A Apere may live us a bad taste in the mouth.

  • I saw dele ayenugba on YouTube wit good performance

As a fan of Super Eagles and keen football follower, Ezenwa commands more confidence between the sticks and control/ organized his defence better than Daniel Akpeyi. Even at 2016 Olympics in Brazil, Emmanuel Daniel was picked ahead of Akpeyi as the Olympic Eagles goaltender. Akpeyi lacks composure and at this stage you can not teach him that. It is good that Alampasu is being invited as he can garner exposure as he grows. He is the future of Nigeria in area of goalkeeping. However, other good goalkeepers should be exposed through the WAFU Cup 2017 and CHAN 2018. Nigeria is desirous of a world class goalkeeper and we have to start working on it now. The NFF President has been doing a yeoman’s job in bringing Nigeria football back to its former glory. He should however do more in churning out good goalkeepers for our national teams so that issue of succession will not be a problem. Check out Cameroon, they may have other problems but certainly not goalkeeper’s. Decade to decade, generation to generation, they have been churning out the best goalkeepers in Africa. From Joseph Antoine Bell to Jacques Songo’o to Thomas Nkono to Carlos Kameni Cameroon have been fantastic. Even Fabrice Ondoa, the current goalie is very good and with one day climb up to that enviable position. So, let us groom world class goalkeepers in Nigeria.
