Super Eagles Technical Adviser has claimed that Friday’s World Cup qualifier against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon is a winner-takes-all as the two-legged encounter will likely decide the winner of group B.
The German-born tactician reckons the game has been on the cards since the Matchday 2 victory over Algeria and that there’s no margin for error in the encounter.
“It is very simple. Four points separate us and Cameroon. It is the game of our lives. We have six points and we want to win this match. If they lose, it will be difficult for Cameroon to catch us. I will consider the game on Friday as the first half while the second half comes up in yaounde next week. We want to win the first half so that the second half will be easy for us,” he said at Wednesday’s pre-match press conference.
Rohr was also upbeat about his team’s chances having had 10 months to prepare for the game.
He said: “We knew since November that we were going to play against Cameroon so we’ve had time to watch them, admire them playing, saw them win the AFCON and make a good impression at the Confederations Cup. So we are prepared for them.”
Only one team will qualify for the World Cup from Group B. Algeria and Zambia are the other two teams in the group and they both slug it out in Ndola on Saturday.Copyright © 2022 Completesports.com All rights reserved. My friend stop the talks and walk the talk. This was how you kept talking before the game against South Africa. I am yet to see your technical ability and nous to change games. You’d better get your selection correct. Good luck alone isn’t enough!!
shut up ebuka patrick what do you mean
He does not have technical ability and he silence Zambia and Algeria. Good luck cannot give you 6 points my bros. He knows what he is doing. The South Africa loss, is a blessing in disguise, it will serve as a wake up call. So lets hope he has learnt from his mistakes. But he has already proven to be a good coach.
Ebuka Patrick Dalu nwanne this coach talks toooooo Much he has no tactical ability.. he does not know his players he waits too long to make changes and when he does he brings the wrong players in.. Just watch he will start Ogenyi Onazi again and will leave John Ogu out.. Meanwhile John Ogu has been playing alot of games with Hapoel ben.. Watch bthis coach is very useless.
You guys are very funny, the coach that gave you 6 points in only 2 games is very useless and cannot read match. In a group of death that contains Algeria,Zambia and Cameroon, he beat Algeria and Zambia with ease and you say the coach is useless. He played 5 games and has lost only one and you still complain. Nigerians never cease to surprise me. All the other countries in our envying our position and you cannot at least support the coach behind the team.
Coach Rohr should just pay special attention to Bassogog, Vincent Abubakar and Monkandjo. Bassogog is quick and extremely dangerous on the break. Uwa Echiejile is old and too slow to handle Bassogog. I wish the Super Eagles the best of luck against Cameroun.
I pray that Friday is our players day, take their chances, concentrate through out the game. This time don’t blame anyone is natural some coach talk some don’t. It does not determine the winner. Up NiGEria!!!!!!
if the team has prepared enough and playing with grit, passion and as a team on a mission, they will surely beat the lions. However they must play confidently and take their chances, translating same into goals. There must not be misses. If they have ten opportunities, they should score in all. They should also be focused and not be guilty of watching the man and not the ball.
Don,t panic supper eagle will overcome them.
