Super Eagles Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr has commended the performance of Wilfred Ndidi and his club Leicester City’s 3-1 win over Liverpool in an English Premier League game on Monday night, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Rohr told Nigeria Football Federation officials that he had called Ndidi to congratulate him for his five-star performance against Liverpool, adding that he wants all his players to play at that level every game.
Ndidi was rated second best player after two-goal hero Jamie Vardy, with stats showing that the Nigeria midfielder won nine of his 11 tackles and was able to break many of Liverpool’s attack.
“Ndidi was fantastic last night against Liverpool. He impressed everyone and pundits poured encomiums on him for holding the Leicester midfield well against Liverpool. That is what I expect from all Eagles players in their clubs,” Rohr told an NFF official, who in turn told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“I hope other players will be in such good form when they come for our two friendly games in March. I am happy and satisfied with the form of the players I intend to use for the matches.”
