Italian side AS Roma are interested in Eskişehirspor’s Nigerian midfielder Raheem Lawal, Radyospor has quoted his technical director Bahadır Ünalan.
Ünalan also denied interest from Turkish league champions Galatasaray who have also been closely linked with the 25-year-old midfielder.
“There have been no offers from Galatasaray but we do have an offer from Roma and talks are ongoing,” Unalan told Radyospor.
Lawal joined Eskişehirspor from Mersin Idmanyurdu last February for €1 million, scored twice and provided two assists in 30 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig for the side who finished last season in 11th place on 39 points.
The former Athletico Belenese star however refused to confirm the Roma interest when completesportsnigeria.com contacted him.
“Let’s wait and see in the coming hours if the deal will go through,” he told completesportsnigeria.com.
Lawal has made six appearances for the Nigerian national team.
