Abdelhamid Sabiri aims to bring the positive feeling he has gained from playing for the Germany Under-21 side back to Huddersfield. The 21-year-old midfielder impressed, scoring a goal and earning the man of the match award, in Germany’s 3-0 win over Netherlands in Offenbach on Friday.
He should retain his place in Stefan Kuntz’s side for Monday’s friendly against Italy in Reggio Emilia – although where he will line-up is not certain after Sabiri demonstrated his versatility to the coach.
He said: “I played as a holding midfielder against Ireland [in October] but [against Netherlands] I was further forward, behind the striker and in the second half I was playing wide left. I am comfortable playing in all these positions but I am just happy to be playing.”
And the ex-Nurnburg player will be looking to showcase his ability to David Wagner in the hope of earning a first-team call-up over the busy festive period. “I played a full 90 minutes in my first international game and now I have played another full game,” he told DFB.de.
“It is really good for me to be able to play with the best players in Europe in my age group. I want to take this positive feeling and experience back with me to Huddersfield.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
