Sadiq Happy To Join Torino, Vows To Shine

Torino’s new Nigerian signing Umar Sadiq is prepared to take advantage of the opportunity offered him at his new club to relaunch reports.

Sadiqwho shone for the Nigeria U-23s at the Rio Olympics in 2016 as they won bronze, joined Torino on a season-long loan deal from fellow Series A club AS Roma with an option of a permanent move if he impresses.

The 20-year-old told Torino’s official website after passing his medicals on Wednesday that he is delighted to join the club.

“I am very happy to be a football player of Torino and I thank the whole club for the confidence they have in me,” Sadiq told the club’s official website.

“For a young man it is important to know that I have so much support and I will give it my all and take advantage of this great opportunity.”

Sadiq trained with his new teammates on Wednesday ahead of Torino’s Serie A opener against Bologna on Sunday.

Nigerian midfielder Joel Obi is also at Torino.
