Southampton reportedly failed in their attempts to sign Croatia international Marko Rog from Napoli during the summer. Saints boss Mark Hughes is believed to have identified Rog as one of his number one targets during the off-season, but it appears other clubs were also interested in signing the 23-year-old on either a permanent or temporary basis.
Reports in Italy claim Napoli rejected a bid of 17million euros for Rog from an unnamed club, with boss Carlo Ancelotti wanting to keep hold of the former Dinamo Zagreb player who struggled to secure regular first-team place under Ancelotti’s predecessor, Maurizio Sarri.

Rog has gone on to feature four times in Serie A this season although only one of those appearances was from the start and Napoli could well reconsider their stance in the new year.
That could well put Southampton on red alert, although the Saints did end up bringing in midfielders Stuart Armstrong and Mohamed Elyounoussi during the summer so may no longer consider Rog a priority.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
