Egypt head coach Hector Cuper has declared that his team’s talisman Mohamed Salah will play a part in the team’s World Cup opener against Uruguay on Friday.
Salah sustained a shoulder injury during Liverpool’s 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League final last month .
It had been expected that the winger would be out of contention for Egypt’s first game in Russia but he has bounced back strongly from the setback.
Cuper claimed that Salah is ‘almost 100% certain’ to feature against Uruguay in Yekaterinberg on Friday afternoon.
“Salah is doing very well indeed, he’s recovered very quickly. We’ll see how it goes today. I can almost assure you 100% he will play, barring any unforeseen factors at the last moment,” the former Inter Milan coach told reporters on Thursday.
Salah has scored 33 goals for his country, with the remainder of the 23-man squad in Russia having only netted 33 times between them.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
