Sarri: Moses Needs To Improve His Game To Become A Regular At Chelsea

By Adeboye Amosu:

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri insists Nigeria winger Victor Moses must improve his game to earn a starting berth in the team, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Moses was one of the key players under Antonio Conte and thrived in a new wing-back role.

The former Crystal Palace star is however yet to start a game for the Blues this season and failed to make the match day squad for last Sunday’s 2-1 away win against Newcastle United at the St James’ Park.

He has make one appearance in the English Premier League for the Blues this season.

“But because he changed the position on the pitch… last season he played (at right wing-back), and now we want him to play like a winger,” Sarri told reporters on Friday.

“We changed the position and, in the new position, he needs to improve. But it’s only a question of time, I think.”

Chelsea will look to maintain their perfect start to the season when they host Bournemouth at the Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Lol. Don’t mind him. He feels he doesn’t need Nigeria anymore.

Perhaps Moses should have sought a loan move. If this continues, I hope he goes on loan in December.

      • o Haymaker, I think he resigned becoz Chelsea got a new coach, Sarri who told Moses he would no longer use him in RB position that Conte accommodated him in last season. You know in that position, Moses doesn’t have much position and he was first choice for Conte.

But Sarri wants to return Moses to his natural position – Forward Right Wing and Moses knows he’s not number 1, 2 or even 3 choice there.

So to impress Sarri, he decides to resign from SE and fight for his Chelsea shirt cos he doesn’t want to go on loan again like younger teammates like Loftus Cheek, Zouma and Tammy Abraham.

Obviously, Moses values the Chelsea shirt more than the SE shirt, maybe cos of the salary and exposure. That’s why he was not so committed to Nigeria. I’m sure he never even cared about captaining the SE team. He just wanted to play only important matches and go – just like a mercenary.

Finally, he has resigned. I was shocked but when you think about it deeply, you won’t be too surprised. But the whole thing may backfire on him. He may be making a mistake.

      • Haymaking Loony, guess what? I did exactly what you said, hugged a transformer, battled the gods but contrary to your prediction, destruction failed to come my way.
But I am back, back to pour fire and brimstone on your wretched excuse of a a head.
You see, you called me a prostitute because all what your dirty, disgusting maggot infested mind can link my online alias to is a prostitute (on that note, did you pay the one you slept with last night? fool!).
Let me give you an assignment, go to Google, type Ashy Slashy then go on to images. I wish the images that present themselves to you haunt you day and night until you end up in a mental asylum where you rightly belong.

Those whom the gods wish to destroy they first made mad. Haymaker, the gods have surely made you mad.

  • I don’t know the main reason that prompt him to tender his resignation. It can’t affect his club form also.

We are spoilt for choice in the wing position for Nigeria. We don’t need him anylonger. The positions we need top class players are the Goal-keeping and Defensive/wing-back positions. So, Moses Bye as you have practically used your hand to destroy your own career
