All Blacks flanker Ardie Savea has turned his back on a move to France and has committed his future to New Zealand Rugby.
The 25-year-old looked set to play for French side Pau after the World Cup in Japan next year, but has backed out of the deal and has committed to New Zealand and the Hurricanes until 2021.
The player admits it was a tough decision but in the end, he could not leave the people dearest to him and is delighted to have committed his future.
“Truly blessed to have re-signed with NZ for 2020-2021,” Savea posted on Instagram. “To be honest was a very tough decision but being at home with family and close friends and the opportunity to play for @allblacks @hurricanesrugby @wgtn_rugby I couldn’t leave.
“Thank you to the fans for the ongoing support. Can’t wait to get stuck into 2019 with my canes brothers”Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
