What Is Your Say On The Home-Eagles Friendlies In Abu Dhabi?

The Super Eagles Team B were defeated 1-0 by the Elephants of Cote d’ Ivoire on Sunday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The home-based Eagles produced a fine display despite the defeat against the 2015 AFCON title hopefuls.

The Eagles being temporarily handled by Daniel Amokachi, the team’s assistant coach, will play against the Falcons of Sudan on Saturday, 17 January in their second and last of the Grade B friendlies in Abu Dhabi.

A section of Nigerians believe strongly that the home-based Eagles can march the threat of Africa’s best teams. Do you agree?

However, these home-based Eagles could turn out to be overseas-based stars sooner or later.

Is it justified that Nigerians continue to back the home-based players as the future of Nigerian football? Is the upward trend of players themselves moving to Europe and other backwaters of world football for greener pastures affecting the building of the national team negatively?

Would you have preferred to have the Super Eagles prosecute these friendlies with some ‘unknown’ overseas-based players even though the Abu Dhabi friendlies were not scheduled on FIFA Free days?

Would the presence of the players predominantly  based in Europe help get better the team’s performances and results?
