Nigerian defender Efe Ambrose and his newly promoted club Hibernian will entertain Partick Thistle in their first game of the 2017/2018 Scottish Premier League season which kicks off August 5, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
This was made known on the Scottish Premier League's official Twitter handle on Friday following the release of fixtures for the new campaign.
Hibernian finished top in the Scottish Championship last season and secured automatic promotion to the elite division after being in the second tier for three straight seasons.
Ambrose who recently completed his permanent move from Celtic to Hibernian after being on loan, was key to the team's promotion.
His impressive performance for Hibernian saw him voted Player of the Month in March.
On their part, Patrick Thistle finished eight in the 12-team Scottish topflight last season.
Champions, Celtic will welcome Hearts who are on the verge of releasing Nigeria defender Juwon Oshaniwa.
