Arsenal boss Unai Emery is increasingly turning to the idea of selling Mesut Ozil in January, according to The Sun. The German playmaker has sat out the Gunners’ last five matches with a back injury but has hardly been missed.
It seems he is not an automatic choice for Arsenal ‘s Boss and could be made available in the next transfer window with a price-tag of £25m. Reports emerged at the end of last week suggesting Serie A giants Inter are interested in signing Ozil, who signed a lucrative new contract with the club – worth a reported £350,000 a week – only last January.
However, shifting a player on such high wages could prove a problem for Arsenal – unless Ozil gets fed up of sitting on the bench when he returns from injury.
The ex-Real Madrid star, 30, has scored three goals in 10 league appearances this season, only one shy of his total in 26 league games last term.
