Serbia Coach Targets Good Result Against “Solid” Super Eagles

By David Meshioye:

Serbia head coach Mladen Krstajic has boasted that his team is not intimidated by the array of stars Nigeria will be parading at the Beehive Stadium in Tuesday’s friendly, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Still smarting from their 2-1 defeat to Atlas Lions of Morocco on Friday, Krstajic insisted his side are out to get a good result against the Super Eagles.

“Nigeria recently beat Poland away from home, they scored a goal from a penalty, and it’s a solid team that has a large number of players playing in European clubs.

“I expect a good reaction from our players and I think with good concentration and I believe that we can achieve a good result,” Krstajic told mozzartsport.com on Monday.

He expressed his delight with the atmosphere in camp and assured that his players are in the right frame of mind to take on Nigeria with the hope of coming out as winning side in London.

“There are players who have had a full match in the previous match, but they are all ready to play against Nigeria. It’s a good atmosphere; they have done well in training so I am satisfied with the ambience and organization both in the field and outside.

“I expect a good reaction from my players when they face Nigeria. But again I repeat, the most important thing is the result, everything else is irrelevant.”

Mr. Mlarden seems so desperate for a win. It’s s pity you will not win. Maybe a draw for you or even a loss to Nigeria awaits you.

  • This is not a competition Mr Mladen. For you to say that what matter most is the result, you are making a big mistake. You should look at how your boys response to the SE challenges rather than the result.
