Last year’s top two clubs made winning starts and both play at home this coming weekend
The two biggest sides – currently at least – in Italy’s Serie A have been handed huge games in just the second week of the domestic competition. Having both made winning starts to the season on the road last week, Juventus and Napoli will play in front of their own fans, against Lazio and AC Milan respectively.

Where should I be investing my money?
Juventus have a huge first home game of the new season against Roman outfit Lazio. Having been the dominant force for over half a decade in Italy now, there were a few signs of weakness in Juventus’ performance against Chievo last week.
The Old Lady were forced to come from behind as well as wait until the 93rd minute to edge the game 3-2. Now they are in need of a dominant display on home soil, as Lazio look to avoid a second defeat in as many games.
But it is Juventus who come into the game as clear favourites to make just that happen. The current champions are at just 1.36 to take all three points, with visitors Lazio all the way out at 8.50, according to Oddsshark.
You could double your money by backing both teams to score at 2.00, and with Cristiano Ronaldo looking to break his duck for Juventus we could well see goals in this one. A 3-1 win for the home side is priced at 12.00, offering well over a ten-fold return on any investment.
Napoli look to keep up with pace setters
And having made a winning start last week, Napoli now have home advantage as they welcome AC Milan to their San Paolo home. Keeping up with Juventus will be key for Carlo Ancelotti as he looks to ease the pain fans felt by the departures of Maurizio Sarri and Jorginho.
Milan are yet to play a league game yet this season. Their match last week was postponed against Genoa following the bridge tragedy which hit the city.
Which may well mean that Milan come into this game slightly more rusty than Napoli, who already have a competitive league encounter under their belts. In addition, Milan are not the force they once were whilst Napoli are very much expected to battle in the upper echelons of the league table.
With that in mind, it is home side Napoli who come in to this game as clear favourites to pick up a second league win in a row. They are at just 1.66 to take all three points, while Milan are much further out at 5.25.
We saw some defensive frailty from Napoli last week and both teams to score in this clash is priced at just 1.75. A 2-1 win for the home side is priced competitively at 8.00.
Inter look to get first points on the board
The most disappoint ting performance in Serie A’s first week of action came from Inter Milan. The 2010 European champions are expected to challenge for the league crown for the first time in close to a decade after coach Luciano Spalletti extended his contract for another three years and major investments were made in the playing staff.
However, they slumped to a 1-0 defeat last time out away to Sassuolo and now play their first home game of the new season against Torino. AS Roma got the better of Torino in the first round and Inter will be expecting to do the same.
Inter come into this game as the red hot favourites and Torino look to be facing an uphill struggle from the off. Inter are at just 1.50 to get their first points of the new season on the board, while Torino are at four times that price – 6.00.
You can more than double your money by backing Inter to win to nil (without Torino scoring a goal) at 2.62 and there may not be too many goals in this one following a slow start last week. A comfortable, 2-0 win for Spalletti’s men is priced competitively at 7.50.
