Sharks boosted their Glo Premier League survival hopes with a hard fought 1-0 home win against Kano Pillars on Monday.

Daniel Jackson fired home the decisive goal in the 62nd minute of the encounter played under difficult conditions at the Sharks Stadium.

Earlier in the day, Dolphins beat fellow relegation battlers Bayelsa United 2-0 to boost their hopes of escaping the drop.

Ebitimi Agoguo scored the opener in the 10th minute, after he capitilized on a blunder by the visitors’ goalkeeper, Gambo Gideon, to put the ball into the net.

Wilson Andoh put the result beyond doubt, netting the decisive second goal 15 minutes from time.

Dolphins despite the win remain in the drop zone, while Bayelsa United who sit in last position on the log are now without a win in their last 12 games.
