Shorunmu: Eagles Can Still Qualify

–Nigeria goalkeepers coach optimistic of Maroc 2015 ticket

Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer Ike Shorunmu says all hope is not lost as Nigeria can still qualify for the 2015 AFCON.

Shorunmu noted that there are still four matches left in the series and Nigerians should wait and see what happens.

“We tried to make up for the one that we lost at home but thank God that we got a point from the match. There is still the possibility that we could qualify with four matches to go so let’s just wait and see what is going to happen”, the former Besiktas of Turkey goalkeeper stated.

The Super Eagles are third on the group A log behind leaders Congo and South Africa who have six and four points respectively.

“Yeah, in football, anything can happen, you never can tell, we’ll fight for it and ensure we get it so let’s keep our fingers crossed”, the former Shooting Stars of Ibadan goalkeeper emphasized.

I think the keshi led technical crew have exhausted their technicality, Pls give SIASIA a chance, atleast during his days all these heart attack football came to a halt, good attacking football etc if not for the drew in abuja against guinea which was also caused by the absence of Enyeama Nigeria still would have qualified to the 2012 Nations cup. Am coming to believe that the success of our super eagles now lies in enyeama and not the coaches, when Coach lagar back drop Vincent enyeama for Ejide who what happened the Supper eagle was knocked out at the group stage, the list are endless. Pls give siasia a chance and better and hungry legs be invited, most of the players we have now have nothing at stake they believe they are keshi’s favourite with confirm shirt. We need change in NFF and change in SUPER EAGLE. Keshi set a record in Nigeria and also broke a record of 33 yrs of Nigeria without home defeat in nigeria. He need a break. Siasia or Olise i trust

  • Egbon please go sit down, you guys talk the same noise all the time, like other country is suppose to lay down and have your boys run all over them. We need a team with mental and physical strength.

  • Ike shoromu I am disappointed by your comment “Nigeria can still qualify” I expected you to sound optimistic as part of present technical bench of super eagles. You should sound convince Nigerians and other supporters of super eagles that you guys know what you are doing because failure to qualify to Morocco 2015 will spell doom u and rest technical bench.
