–Super Eagles coach confident of victory in away match
Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer Ike Shorunmu has stated that the team will be going all out against Congo in Saturday’s 2015 AFCON qualifier in Pointe Noire.
Speaking with Complete Sports shortly after the Home Eagles defeated Ghana 1-0 in an international friendly match played last Friday Uyo, Akwa Ibom , Shorunmu said the team is determined to secure all three points.
“We know that going away to face Congo could be difficult but we are more determined to ensure we win the match against Congo”, begins the Super Eagles goalkeeper’s trainer
“The players know what is at stake and winning this match will mean a lot to us. Big Boss has been talking to the players and I am sure they are ready for the task ahead.
The Eagles who are third in group A behind Congo and South Africa, picked up their first win of the qualifiers after defeating Sudan 3-1 inside the Abuja National Stadium last month.
Goals from Ahmed Musa and Aaron Samuel gave the Eagles all three points.
