Super Eagles interim coach, Samson Siasia, has assured that he will do his best as the new boss of the senior national team but called for the support of Nigerians and the officials of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
The former Flying Eagles coach was named on Friday to oversee the Super Eagles games against Egypt on March 25 and 29 in their double header of the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers after Sunday Oliseh resigned his appointment.
Siasia who will be assisted by Emmanuel Ameneke and Salisu Yusuf, is expected to start from where Oliseh stopped with the hope of leading Nigeria to beat Egypt in their first leg match scheduled for Kaduna.
Speaking briefly with Completesportsnigeria.com, Siasia who was sacked from same position few years back, said serving his fatherland is an honour.
“It is an honour to serve Nigeria, I will do my best with the support of Nigerians and the FA,” Siasia stated.
Meanwhile, the new coaching crew has been mandated by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF to start work immediately with players invitation for the crucial AFCON qualifiers.
