National U-23 Eagles coach Samson Siasia has set an agenda for the New Year as the soccer tactician has also assured Nigerians that he will present a quality team that will be good enough to qualify the country for both the Olympic Games and the All Africa Games.
Siasia who will return to camp early next year to continue preparation for the Olympics and All Africa Games qualifiers said he remains committed to ensuring Nigeria qualify for the two tournaments while calling on Nigerians and the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF to give him more support in the bid to do the nation proud.
“We have a lot to do in the New Year and we get to work harder because of the task on our hands, already we have a team we are going to be working on in the New Year and we look forward to getting the best from them”, says the Coach who led Nigeria to win silver medal at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
“We have told the players when to report to camp and part of what we are going to be doing in the New Year is to concentrate fully on the team and see how best we can prepare them for the qualifiers we have ahead of us. But one thing I will promise is that we are going to do our best.
It would be recalled that Siasia spent most part of the outgoing year screening players both home based and foreign based players for the National U-23 Eagles before he finally released a list of players that will make the team.
And he has assured that when they return to camp in the New Year, they will be concentrating on how to play the qualifying games ahead of the team.
