U-23 Eagles coach, Samson Siasia, says the team will get better ahead of their participation at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
Siasia's wards won a first Africa U-23 title after edging out Algeria 2-1 in the Africa Cup of Nations final on Saturday.
He said he was happy his side won the trophy and admitted it was a tough competition and suggested they will continue to work hard to getter.
"I'm very happy to have won this trophy, even though it was difficult, the essential was done," Siasia told reporters.
"It was not easy for us taking into consideration the teams we met.
"Algeria is a good team and they showed that on the pitch, and played well.
"My boys also did well by scoring the goals we needed to win the match.
