Simon, Esiti, Kalu Star In Gent Win; Onazi Helps Trabzonspor Win; Ideye Fires Blanks

Nigerian trio; Moses Simon, Anderson Esiti and Samuel Kalu were all in action for KAA Gent who beat Club Brugge 2-0 in the Belgian Jupiler League on Sunday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Both Gent's goals were scored by Yuya Kubo and Kalifa Coulibaly in the 53rd and 90th minute .

William Troost-Ekong was an unused substitute for Gent in the game.

Simon played for 90 minutes, Esiti was brought on in the 46th minute, while Kalu was replaced in the 84th minute.

In the Turkish Super League, Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi made an appearance for Trabzonspor who thrashed Gaziantepspor 4-0.

Onazi was replaced by Hugo Rodallega on 67 minutes.

Fabian Castillo (brace, 15th, 49th minute), Yusuf Yazici (28th minute) and Ugur Demirok (73rd minute) were the scorers for Trabzonspor.

Still in Turkey, Raheem Lawal featured for Kayserispor who trounced Fenerbahce 4-1.

Lawal later Gave way for Landry N'Guemo in the 66th minute.

In the Italian Serie A, Nigerian midfielder Joel Obi went off injured as Torino was held to a 1-1 home draw by Atalanta.

Obi went off in the 30th minute and was replaced by Daniele Baselli.

Super Eagles forward Brown Ideye was on from the start in Olympiakos 2-1 away win against Veria in the Greek top flight.

Ideye was replaced by Oscar Cardozo with six minutes remaining in the game.

And in the Dutch Eredivisie, Super Eagles prospect Tyronne Ebuehi was at the receiving end as his team ADO Den Haag lost 3-0 to Ajax.

Ebuehi played throughout the encounter for ADO Den Haag.
