Nigeria U23 team midfielder, Kingsley Sokari has absolved his side of intentional sloppiness in their 1-1 draw against Senegal on Saturday in Congo Brazzaville, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Sokari said the team did the much they could to win, but were not lucky on the day.
He said the Senegalese team came out strong on them, insisting that the Dream Team are primed to hold their heads high in the competition.
"We gave it our best shot, you know sometimes football gets crazy, but we still thank God we not only avoided defeat, but also qualified for the semi-finals," Sokari, the Enyimba of Aba midfield star told Completesportsnigeria.com after the game at Kintele.
"We can play any team in the competition, we are not afraid of any team. So why should we be aiming to avoid Congo?
"They are a good side no doubt, but we are a better side, my personal target is to ensure we win the gold medal of the men's football event of the 2015 All Africa Games," Sokari declared.
