England youth international with Nigerian blood Dominic Solanke has stated that he is looking forward to a fruitful stint at his new club Liverpool after his departure from Chelsea this summer.

Solanke scored his first goal for the Reds since leaving Stamford Bridge in their Premier League Asia Trophy game against Crystal Palace which Liverpool won 2-0 at the Hong Kong Stadium on Wednesday.

The youngster was impressive as a second-half substitute, scoring with a shot at the edge of the Palace penalty box in the 61st minute.

The 19-year-old who was the Most Valuable Player of the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Korea Republic told Sky Sports after Wednesday's match: "It feels amazing and everyone has made me feel welcome already.
"Even just pulling on the training top, I was over the moon. Hopefully I can put on the shirt in the near future and make some good history here."

Liverpool will play against Leicester City in the final of the tournament on Saturday while West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace will play in the losers' final.
