Tottenham Hotspur will make a further check on Gent goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic when Croatia face England at Wembley on Sunday. Club scouts have been tracking the 28-year-old for 18 months – since he impressed boss Mauricio Pochettino over two legs as Gent knocked Spurs out of the Europa League in 2017.
Kalinic is one of several goalkeepers Tottenham could consider if they decide to look outside the club to add further competition for current first-choice Hugo Lloris.
The World Cup winner is not having his most consistent campaign but still has the full confidence of Pochettino and his staff.

Kalinic, who Gent signed for £2.5million from Hajduk Split in 2016, has recently established himself as Croatia’s number one and played in their 3-2 Uefa Nations League win over Spain on Thursday.
