Tottenham have revealed goalkeepers Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm are both making good progress from their respective injuries. First-choice Lloris has been out of action with a thigh injury, while his back-up Vorm missed the win over Brighton on Saturday with a knee injury.
Their absence meant relatively untested Paulo Gazzaniga was given a start over the Seagulls and he is likely to stay in the side for Wednesday’s Carabao Cup third-round tie against Watford in Milton Keynes.
Lloris is unlikely to be available this weekend for the trip to Huddersfield but the club have said on their website that the France World Cup winner has “now progressed to field work”, while they have also said in a short statement the “swelling around Michel Vorm’s knee has improved and the 34-year-old continues rehabilitation”.
If the duo continue to progress as expected, they could both be available again to Mauricio Pochettino for the big home Champions League clash against Barcelona on October 3.
