Everton striker Fraser Hornby hopes to get a chance at Goodison Park this season but would be willing to go out on loan if not. The 18-year-old showed his potential as he scored a hat-trick for the Scotland Under-21s against Andorra in a Euro 2019 qualifier at Tynecastle on Thursday night.
Hornby currently plays for the Toffees Under-23 side and if he carries on progressing the way he is, it will not be long before he is knocking on Marco Silva’s first-team door.
However, it is more likely he will be sent out on loan to get some valuable action under his belt, and the player is certainly open to such an idea.
“Hopefully I can get a few appearances for the first team at Everton, if not then I’ll be happy to go out on loan somewhere,” he told Capital City Press.
“I’ve not really had a chat with anyone about my future at Everton, I’ve kept my head down and I’m taking each day as it comes and working hard. I’m feeling good and hopefully I can get a few chances in the first team.”
