Head coach of Stationery Stores, Durosimi Yusuf has released the final 10 players that include Ghanaian Aziz Koffi who will participate in this year’s Copa Lagos Beach Soccer championship.
Eighteen players were initially called up to camp last week, but later trimmed down to 10 after the club’s last training.
This will be the first time that the Lagos-based side will compete in the Copa Lagos in the club category, and the team’s gaffer said to supersport.com that his wards are ready for the three-day tournament.
“We have been training so hard for this competition, and the spirit of my boys is high as they are ready for the competition.
“We are ready to face any foe in this Copa Lagos, and I want to assure all our fans that we would emerge champions after the tournament in Lagos,” Yusuf said to supersport.com on Thursday.
Stationery Stores will face Enyimba in their first duel in this year’s Copa Lagos, and Yusuf said his wards would teach the People’s Elephant a football lesson.
“Enyimba are a better team, and I was impressed with what they displayed against the Super Sand Eagles, but we would beat them tomorrow (Friday),” he said to supersport.com.
Stores will also face Barcelona Beach Soccer team, and non-league side, Pepsi Academy in this year’s Copa Lagos which will kick off this Friday.
