By Johnny Edward:
Watford striker, Isaac Success, is delighted to have ended his goal drought for the club after scoring his first goal in 22 months for Watford in Tuesday’s 2-0 win over Reading in the Carabao Cup competition, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The game was Success’ first start for Watford since 2016 and his first goal since he hit the back of the net in The Hornets’ 2-2 draw with Bournemouth in an English Premier League game on October 1, 2017.
Success opened scoring in the 36th minute of the encounter with Domingos Quina sealing the win with a second for the Javi Garcia’s men who will face Tottenham Hotspur away in round three of the competition.
“It felt so great,” Success told Watford official website.
“My teammates all celebrated with me and they were so happy to get that first goal.”
Success has been plagued with several injuries, but he feels fitter than he has been in a while.
“That made me comfortable and relaxed and helped me through the game. I am happy to get my first 90 minutes and hopefully, I can get more.
“I think physically, I am better now, so I wasn’t tired after 90 minutes.”
Success also adds that the Hornets’ Carabao Cup match win will boost the team’s confidence ahead of their tough English Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday at the Vicarage Road.
“I am happy for the team, it was a good win for us.
“It will make us concentrate even more and we will be mentally ready for Sunday’s game.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
