Success Elated To Sign New Watford Long-Term Contract

Nigeria forward, Isaac Success is visibly delighted after putting pen to paper on a new long term contract at club and now just wants to repay the Hornets faith in him

“I’m excited. I think this is going to give me a lot of confidence, with the club having so much belief in me,” he told the club’s official website.

“Watford is part of me, it’s part of my life, part of my career, part of everything that concerns me from Granada up to Watford in which Gino Pozzo has always been a father, a friend, family to me.

“I’m happy, all I need to do is to keep on working hard and give the club as much as I can until the end of the season.”

Success arrived at the club in July 2016 for a then-club-record fee, and while his potential was obvious, the raw nature of his talent was also there for all to see.

The Hornets fans are now beginning to see Success mature as a player, though he maintains he’s still got a way to go.

“I think my full potential isn’t out yet, I’m still working on that. The club has seen a little bit of it, where they appreciate me already and I’m thinking there’s a lot more to come,”he stated.

“I owe the club, the fans, and the team a lot which I’m trying to develop now.

“With time I think I’m going to get to my full potential and the club will enjoy me more than they do now, so I’m just working towards that.”

Success also spoke about his struggles with Watford and and Spanish club, where he spent the second half of last season.

“Last season was a bit tough going on loan and then coming back. I wasn’t fully stable and I wasn’t fully concentrated and I wasn’t fully fit,”he added.

“Right now, I understand the Premier League a lot more and I think being fit in this league, it’s easier.

“I was thinking skills and talent can do it all because I’ve got that and I’m glad about that, but working hard as well and putting extra in will make football easier in the Premier League because that’s what I was lacking.

“Now I understand how it goes in the Premier League and I think I’m comfortable now and I’m ready to go anytime.”

If this guy can up the level of his concentration to then follow this up with more practice and focus, he has the potentials to be a high quality player in his own right.
He also needs to always keep his weight in check.
On a good day, a fully-cooked Isaac Success should be able to play LF, LW, LM effectively with the full range of skills set and attributes that he possesses.
Isaac will fit neatly into Pep Guardiola and Jürgen Klopps style of play with fluid forwards who interplay unlike a player like Iheanacho who lacks the pace and mentality for such dynamism.

He has also been deployed in the following positions – CF, ST, RW and RF.
This chap should be aware of his own potentials and would do himself immense justice to ensure that nothing derails him from the path to complete fulfilment of his abilities.
