–Granada star admits he needs to work harder
Nigeria youth international Isaac Success has declared that he needs to work harder after Granada CF manager Joaquín Caparrós put his faith in him at the weekend by naming him in the match against Villarreal.
But before the start of the second half at the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes, the 18-year-old made way for Venezuela international Darwin Marchis, without opening his goal-scoring account for the Andalusian outfit.
The 2013 CAF U-17 Championship leading marksman explained that he was not injured prior to his substitution, saying it was only a tactical switch by the coach after he noticed the attack lacked bite.
“I was not carrying a knock before I was replaced and I really don’t know why I was substituted. During my time on the pitch, I did well but I need to work harder,” Success told SL10.ng.
Putting it mildly, Granada struggled in the final third for most part of the game, apart from Success who showed flashes of brilliance in the first 30 minutes.
Manager Joaquín Caparrós has five more days to rectify the defects he noticed in the team before the clash with Athletic Bilbao.
Granada are sixth in the standings, having drawn two consecutive matches with Elche and Villarreal.
