Sunderland Deny Interest In Stoke’s Odemwingie

Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce has no interest in Stoke’s Peter Odemwingie amid suggestions that the Nigerian striker could be on his way to the Stadium of Light, the Chronicle reports.

Reports from the Guardian on Monday suggested that Sunderland had approached Stoke City over the possibility of taking striker Odemwingie on loan until the end of the season but the move looks unlikely.

“He (Allardyce) has no interest in the Stoke striker Peter Odemwingie,” a Sunderland source was quoted as saying.

The 34-year-old who has spent much of the last 18 months on the sidelines with a knee injury has made six appearances for the Potters this season.
