Dolphins, Sharks Draw Again, Heartland Thrash Bayelsa

Sunshine Stars of Akure lost their top position on the Glo Premier League log to Giwa FC after losing 3-2 to Abia Warriors at the Umuahia Stadium on Sunday.
Bolaji Sakin scored the curtain raiser for the hosts, converting a penalty in the fourth minute. The lead lasted only three minutes with gangling hitman Dele Olorundare grabbing an equalizer for the Akure Gunners.
The Ladan Bosso-coached Warriors went ahead again on 26 minutes through the impressive Chisom Chikatara, who later scored a late penalty to give his side victory following Tunde Adeniji’s equalizer in the 77 minute.
Gbenga Ogunbote got his reign as 3SC on an impressive note with his side edging out Lobi Stars 3-0 in Ibadan.
U-23 Eagles star Junior Ajayi scored a brace in the encounter with new signing Ajani Ibrahim grabbing the other.
At the Liberation Stadium, Dolphins and Sharks shared the spoils once again with the game ending in a 1-1 draw. Yusuf Jaiyeola opened scoring for the Blue Angels with his fourth goal of the season before Ghanaian star, Godbless Asamoah, restored parity for Dolphins in the 84 minutes.
High-flying Giwa FC continued their impressive run and shot to the top of the league on goal difference with a comfortable 2-0 home win against Gabros. Charles Henlong and Ocheme were the scorers.
Heartland the recorded the biggest win of the day, earning a 4-1 victory against Bayelsa United.
Saidou Badarou scored the opener as early as the ninth minutes, with Bright Ejike scoring a brace for the hosts. Substitue Julius Ubido wrapped up the win with a 35 yards free-kick in the closing stage of the encounter.
Wikki Tourists and Enyimba settled for goaless in Bauchi, while El-kamemi rallied from a goal down to beat Taraba United 2-1 at home.
In the last game of the weekend, Kwara United secured a 3-1 win against hard-fighting Rangers International of Enugu at the Ilorin Township Stadium.
